We are often asked “What does the three twenty-one stand for?” or “What do the three arrows on your vests represent?” Down syndrome (also referred to as Trisomy 21) occurs when cell division causes a third 21st chromosome. While you and I may have 46 chromosomes, an individual with Down syndrome has 47. This extra chromosome is most definitely where the extra love is stored! And the three arrows have come to be associated with Down syndrome because they represent how these lucky few rise up and move forward. So now you know, when it comes to Down syndrome, there’s nothing down about it!
Tribe
In May of 2020, the Tribe started with just four members and a dream. Ever since, we have been watching our dream become a reality as we’ve continued to grow in both members and support. The Tribe is a family – one filled with like-minded special needs parents, loss parents, cancer parents and survivors, military families, caretakers, teachers, and individuals who simply have a heart for serving the Lord by helping those in need. Members who put on a Three Twenty-One Tribe MM patch have the privilege of standing in the gap for our brothers and sisters in Christ, both in prayer and action.
Motor Ministry
The Three Twenty-One Tribe was formed after a special little girl with an extra chromosome came into our lives and showed us all what love truly means. Our vision started off simple – we wanted to ride to raise awareness and support for our homies with extra chromies. Now, our once small Riding Club has grown into an entire Motor Ministry – one who is blessed to celebrate individuals with a little something extra, while also raising awareness and support for many other needs in our own community – all done in the name of Jesus. Whether we are hosting a ministry service, a ride, or a fundraising event, it’s the Tribe’s mission to shine His light everywhere we go, both inside and outside the walls of church.
